Hi, I’m Sharlene Mercier, The Real Estate Investing Queen!
But, my story didn’t start out this way.
I'VE BEEN THERE...
The story I’m about to share with you illustrates the real, life-changing power that real estate investing can have in your life.
In 1994, my husband and I bought our first home – a newly-built, 2,000 sqft, 4 bedroom, 2 bath, 1 story brick home.
We had two children under the age of four, we had just graduated from college and we couldn’t be more excited to finally become homeowners.
Fast forward 5 years, and with baby number 3 on the way, we knew that we were quickly outgrowing our home.
But the leap we were about to make was more than I could ever dream of.
After all, we paid $96k for our first home…
THIS REALLY HAPPENED...
Rather than talk ourselves out of it… we went to work to find a way to not just fund the purchase but to put extra money in our pockets.
So, I got my real estate license and studied everything I could to figure out how we could finance the deal.
Within 6 months, we were able to sell our home at a $80,000 profit, put the down payment on our new 6,000 sqft dream home, and still have $10,000 in the bank!
In other words, we nearly 4x our wealth – ALL because we owned real estate.
That’s when we first realized the power of real estate investing.
MY TRANSFORMATION...
My life was transformed after a serious car accident that could have taken my life...I realized that I needed to establish multiple streams of passive income that would increase my wealth while also funding my retirement.
So, I focused on growing my investment property portfolio and strategically bought and sold over 12 properties in the past 15 years. I recently acquired 4 properties in the city where I plan to retire in the next 8 years; market valuation just shy of $1M.
I share this story with you to illustrate not just the power of real estate investing, but the true power that lies in taking ownership of your future.
With real estate investing, your eyes and ears are always open for new opportunities to grow your wealth and to lock in your family’s financial legacy.
I did not grow my real estate empire overnight – and neither will you.
But, I did follow a specific course of action over and over again consistently that has afforded me the ability to acquire the right properties, at the right time, and position myself to be ready to act on any lucrative new deals that come my way.
THE TRUTH IS...
Wealth building is an ultra marathon that requires 100% commitment and a willingness to learn the necessary steps it will take to reach the finish line.
And when you are dedicated to the process and stay focused on your plan, it will pay off in the long run.
Like it has for me and my husband, as we are positioned to fully retire at 58 with a steady income of at least $10,000 a month or more from our “free and clear” investments, worth over $1M.
But, I don’t want ‘this’ to only be my story.
